Juniper’s Crown is a Detroit-based trio blending experimental and math rock with a modern jazz sound. The group ranges from loud and clangy to introspective and candid, and everything in between. Built on interlocking lines, shifting meters, and a deliberately rough-edged electric palette, their music moves between tightly constructed passages and open sections that evolve in real time, often blurring the line between composition and improvisation. With strong ties to Midwestern musical traditions, the trio seeks to explore, converse, and create something honest and sincere in each performance.

Jake Shadik - saxophone
Travis Aukerman - drums
