Jazz trumpeter and composer Scott Cowan brings an evening of diverse original jazz featuring his newest quintet with prodigious New York bound sidemen. Neil Tesser of the Chicago News Cooperative describes Cowan's writing from his album “Jack's Place”: “The whole album bristles and burns. Muscular and meaty, it runs a stylistic gamut, guided by Cowan’s authoritative writing for quintet and larger.”
