About the Event

The Noah Brooks Coalition, led by drummer, Noah Brooks, features many up and coming young Jazz musicians from the Chicagoland area. This performance will feature Jordan Alexander on tenor saxophone, Antonio Foster on piano, Milan Blisset on bass, and Noah Brooks on drums. The Noah Brooks Coalition focuses on playing modern Jazz music composed by Chicago Jazz artists, such as Chris Greene, Rajiv Halim, and Xavier Breaker, while including original compositions by the member of the group that represent that sound of Chicago.

Noah Brooks, an up and coming young Jazz drummer and band leader was born in Madison, WI and moved early in his life to Dekalb, IL. Showing aptitude and signs of his love for music at a very early age, he started his career in music by taking piano and drum lessons.

Jazz quickly became a life's passion after being introduced to it in the third grade. His growing list of influences that continue to shape Noah's growth in Jazz includes past and present Jazz musicians, Max Roach, McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Xavier Breaker, Marquis Hill and Ulysses Owens Jr.

Noah currently plays in the Chicagoland area with many different groups while also leading his own group, The Noah Brooks Coalition.
