De Lejos (“From Afar”) is an original suite by saxophonist and composer Roy McGrath that explores themes of migration, memory, and identity through the lens of the Puerto Rican diaspora. Blending contemporary jazz with Afro-Caribbean influences, the music captures the emotional landscape of being far from one’s roots while remaining deeply connected to them.
