The Reginald Lewis Sextet is a jazz ensemble led by Reginald Lewis. Rooted in Philadelphia's jazz scene, the group pays homage to Philadelphia while incorporating their own sound. Reginald Lewis, the grandson of the legendary Philadelphia jazz musician Bootsie Barnes, carries on his grandfather’s musical legacy. Growing up immersed in the sounds of jazz, Reginald developed a deep appreciation for the art form. Inspired by his grandfather’s contributions to the genre, he embarked on a musical journey to honor and preserve that heritage. Reginald Lewis brings a distinctive and soulful sound to the forefront of his performances. His command over the instrument allows him to create wonderful music.
