Merrimans’ Playhouse @ the Snite Museum: Merrimans' Play-House Players

This Concert takes place at the Notre Dame Snite Museum of Art (NOT at Merrimans' Playhouse venue).

Series curated by Stephen and Mary Merriman of Merrimans’ Playhouse.

We are the curators, the Snite is hosting the event.

Spend a summer evening listening to jazz in the Mary Loretto & Terrence J. Dillon Courtyard. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair and settle in for some great music. A cash bar will be available.

The Merrimans' Play-House Players features local musicians Stephen Merriman (drums), Mary Merriman (bass), Jeff Miller (guitar), Don Lerman (alto saxophone), Stefan Hess (piano), and Todd Neuenschwander (tenor saxophone). This performance will highlight their enjoyment of one of jazz's most valued traditions--the open session. This format nurtures not only the active player but also the active listener. The open session gives listeners insight into the "method behind the madness" by putting into practice collectively what they've been practicing individually.

Museum galleries will also be open.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved into the Museum Atrium. Blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic refreshments are welcome inside.
