As part of our Home Grown Jazz Performance Series, Latitude represents the rich culture of artists who live in our community. The musical proposal brought forward by Latitude takes its audiences into moments of exploration and appreciation of the vast melodic, harmonic and rhythmic traditions of Latin-America. These moments, shared with the Latitude musicians, are simultaneously driven by the group’s passion for artistic innovation and cultural heritage; a dual commitment that sprouts from the musicians’ individual backgrounds and results in a progressive and genuine collective sound. Latitude’s founding members are Venezuelan singer Debbie Cardozo, Mexican jazz pianist Gabriel Hernandez, Venezuelan Mandolin player Leo Cardozo and Chilean percussionist Max Medina.
