The leader of the group is tenor saxophonist Jamill Shaw. Jamill has been studying Jazz since sixth grade when he started with MYSO (Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra). Jamil has studied with jazz masters including Berkeley Fudge, Aaron Gardner, Mark Davis, and Eric Jacobson.

Ryan Flannery is a jazz guitarist and a recent Madison transplant. With a music degree from the College of Charleston and a guitar his mom bought him when he was in high school, Ryan has sought to synthesize a sound that incorporates elements of his favorite players, from Jim Hall and Grant Green to J. Mascis. He has been fortunate to travel and perform in the Southeast with groups like The Nightcaps and Zoe Child. He recently released an album as Fleming & Flannery with pianist Taylor Fleming titled "Friends of the Valley".

Aden Stier is a bassist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Madison, Wisconsin. A versatile composer and improviser, Aden hopes to draw inspiration from the whole scope of American music. Aden performs regularly in Wisconsin and Illinois with D'funk and the Grease Monkeys, Jazz Flux, and the Aden Stier Bell Ensemble. Aden recently graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor’s in music performance.

Drummer Victor Campbell has lent his sound to many of Milwaukee’s finest musical organizations for years and is a direct link to many of the masters of Black American Music. His sound is deeply rooted in the West African and Afro Caribbean traditions. Victor’s teachers and mentors read as a who’s-who of jazz and Latin icons. He cites Freddie Waits, Richard Davis, Teddy Dunbar, Eddie Baker, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Billy Cobham, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Herman Matthews, Alan Dawson, Joey Hereida, John Santos, Chief Bey, Mamdy Keita, Giovanni Hidalgo, and Famoudou Konate, to name a few.
