Beveled is a project led by Chicago trumpeter James Davis that blends Jazz, Improvised Music and Classical Chamber music featuring original compositions and arrangements. This group features a unique and lush instrumentation in the use of two flugelhorns, two bass clarinets, double bass, and drums. The name ‘Beveled’ is meant to evoke a soundscape that uses softer edges, unexpected angles, and a generally gentler and a warmer side of modern creative music.
