In collaboration with Prof. Seth Koren (Department of Physics and Astronomy at Notre Dame), Culture Café presents our fourth CHATS - "Culture, Humanities, and the Arts Through Science" Lecture Series. The Merrimans' Play-House Players (featuring Don Lerman) will perform 7:30 - 8:00, then around 8:00 Dr. Seth Koren will be joined by Associate Professor Pedro A. Aguilera-Mellado for a special edition of CHATS at Culture Café.
They will converse about the Anthropocene---the current geological epoch in which humans play a dominant role in steering the Earth's biosphere, climate, and geomorphology---and how scientists and humanists work together in this discipline to determine how humans have changed the Earth, the implications for human culture and philosophy, and how we should respond.
