As part of our Student Jazz Performance Series, we present The Noah Brooks Coalition. This concert made possible, in part, with support from the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County's ArtsEverywhere initiative, from their grant for our Student Jazz Performance Series.

Noah Brooks, an up and coming young drummer and band leader was born in Madison, WI, and moved early in his life to Dekalb, IL. Showing aptitude and signs of his love for music at a very early age, he started his career in music by taking piano and drum lessons. Jazz quickly became a life's passion after being introduced to it early in his life. His growing list of influences that continue to shape Noah's growth in Jazz includes past and present Jazz musicians such as Max Roach, Elvin Jones, Xavier Breaker, Ulysses Owens Jr. and Sammy Miller.
Noah is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at Northern Illinois University, while also playing in the Chicagoland area with many different groups and also leading his own group, The Noah Brooks Coalition. This group features many up and coming young Jazz musicians from the Chicagoland area.
The Noah Brooks Coalition focuses on bringing not just music, but a performance that is sure to connect with everyone in the audience. Playing music that has been blended with pop music, folk songs, New Orleans style, and straight ahead jazz, all with a dash of acting and humor throughout, The Noah Brooks Coalition brings their own special recipe to their music. A recipe that is sure to cook up music enjoyable for anyone who dares to listen.
